We believe that the key principles of good governance are openness, integrity, accountability, protecting shareholder rights, and treating shareholders equally.

Our analysis goes beyond typical Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors, scoring companies based on Value Creation and Capital Management, Board and Shareholder Structure, Fair Information Disclosure and Management Access and Representation of Data.

In addition, we examine the more traditional ESG factors, which enable us to highlight risks, ensuring company management and/or majority shareholders’ interests are aligned with minority investors and allowing us to benchmark governance standards across various countries and sectors in which  the Fund invests.

We believe that the investment risk associated with a company is reduced when the executive directors and management own meaningful stakes in such company.
